چکیده

Background Adenosine stress perfusion CMR is commonly used for assessing coronary artery disease (CAD) in adults. CAD is uncommon in children, but does occur. There is limited experience performing adenosine stress perfusion CMR in young children. Performing stress perfusion CMR in young children presents a number of technical imaging challenges. Specific Aim: Evaluate image quality and optimal imaging parameters in young children undergoing adenosine stress perfusion CMR.

Role of adenosine stress perfusion CMR in guiding clinical decision making in pediatric and congenital cardiology: a single pediatric center experience

Background Compared to adults, coronary artery disease abnormalities, significant enough to warrant viability assessment and adenosine stress perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, are rare in pediatric patients. As a result, the role of adenosine stress perfusion CMR as a routine clinical imaging tool in these patients has not been clearly defined. We aim to evaluate the impact cl...

Safety and diagnostic accuracy of stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging vs exercise tolerance testing early after acute ST elevation myocardial infarction.

OBJECTIVE To determine the safety and diagnostic accuracy of adenosine-stress cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) perfusion imaging early after acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) compared with standard exercise tolerance testing (ETT). DESIGN AND SETTING Cross sectional observational study in a university teaching hospital. PATIENTS 35 patients admitted with first acute STEMI. ...

Dobutamine stress MRI for the assessment of coronary artery disease: expanding our field of view.

tolic function will improve after coronary revascularization (viability testing) [3]. In general, stress CMR is frequently performed with one of two protocols. The more commonly used protocol is myocardial perfusion imaging, which involves intravenous administration of a vasodilator (i.e., adenosine). Stress perfusion CMR allows the evaluation of resting LV contraction as well as detection of m...

Early clinical experience with ‘splenic switch-off' in adenosine stress CMR

Background MRI Adenosine stress perfusion is a well-established method of evaluating myocardial ischaemia but we know from a number of studies that false negatives are a potential weakness of this modality. Assessment of splenic perfusion at stress and rest (splenic switch-off) has recently been suggested as a means of identifying true pharmacological stress response to adenosine [1]. This is a...

Imaging Incremental Prognostic Significance of Combined Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Adenosine Stress Perfusion, Delayed Enhancement, and Left Ventricular Function Over Preimaging Information for the Prediction of Adverse Events

Background—Although cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is capable of yielding extensive data in routine practice, the relative incremental prognostic value of adenosine stress perfusion, myocardial delayed enhancement (DE), and left ventricular volumes and function is unclear. Methods and Results—We followed up 908 consecutive patients who underwent combined CMR for suspicion of coronary ...
